UNDERGROUND UNSEEN (a new online magazine)

Hey Everyone,
Over the past couple of months i have been fortunate to work on launching a new bi-monthly online magazine called Underground Unseen. The founder of the magazine, Cassandra Shepard, is an amazing poet and Mc who wanted to create a platform for underground artists to showcase their work and have it be seen by the public. The artists featured are well know in the underground scene. The site highlights all forms of artistry--music, fashion, painting, writing, etc. Please support this magazine by becoming a member: Membership is free!!!!
We are also looking for underground artists nationwide to be featured in the next issue (July/August). Please contact me if you or someone you know is an artist who would like to have their expressive creativity showcased to the world.

A LETTER 2 LUV
A LETTER 2 LUV…
dear luv,
i was only seventeen when i thought we met. it was a homeland luv. dark-skin, tall, handsome from the motherland luv. even till this day i think of him but we didn’t last. back then guess most woulda called me fast, but i ain’t care. with him I tried every dare…which wasn’t much cause i was so inexperienced, but whew his touch. then luv we meet again my first year going off to college. he was my distance luv. miles and miles away. sure there were others but he was at the top of my roster. every night and every morning his strong yet gentle voice put me to sleep and awoke me each day. i never questioned him just let him have his way, cause distance….shittttttttttttt….it’ll make u say whatever need be, cause at the end of the day, hey words had to be what stimulated me. touching me though the phone in every way. damn i wish i could say i miss him, but I just saw him yesterday. now please believe within those two luvs above were dips in-between, i was a young girl, how was i know what luv means. come to find out it wasn’t luv at all, with them i wasn’t broken, barley cried, and never took a fall. now some time later and here is where i sink, i met luv like no other, this luv was unique. i laugh as i recall i named him hop hip and he was my all. friends first, then benefits came after, for him i tried to alter my stitching cause i thought i had things missing. hip hop was low-key, and sweet as can be. did a lot of stuff that made me sick, but still i’d let him hit. not just sex baby, that was the least of what we did, brother had me mentally, stuck in the ninth century. as real as luv could be, i the rabbit and he the magician. something separated us, still till this day don’t know what. i use to only wanna kiss him now I hardly miss him, not cause he disappeared just because of fear. i’d rather not deal with his rejection so i put away my obsession . lately I got involved with a naïve luv. the i’d rather not be alone so i’ll play I don’t see luv. the everytime we get together luv I walk away but come right back when he get on his knees luv. that luv that he share with other girls kinda luv then claim he care bout me luv. the i text message u luv cause I thinkin of u but then I can’t pick up ur calls when im out luv. the luv u know ain’t luv at all but u do whateva’s in ur power to meet him outside when he calls. the i get dressed and come out to the club just for u kinda luv. the i hate him wish i could kill him luv. the I wanna cry but ain’t got no more tears left luv. the i shoulda stayed in my last bad situation cause this is worse kinda luv. the hell if this is luv i don’t want it luv. consequently luv as u can see every time we meet u hurt me, u lie, u cheat, u laugh, u backstab, and as far as playin with emotions ur a random as deck of cards. one day luv, hopefully someday soon i’d luv for u to unveil ur face from that mask and let me meet u luv. don’t want ur joker face luv, just want to be ur study case luv. luv without u i’m weak so get ur shit together so i can get back on my feet. luv can u tell me what is luv, where to find it and how to keep it, how to hold it and how to receive it. Luv, luv, luv, i was only seventeen when i though we met, and luv till the end of time i’ll hope we get ur chance to luv.
